How do we become a light to the world? By loving our enemy. We may not admit that we have enemies, but we often treat those who disagree with us or who have wronged us as such. Jesus sacrificed his own life for people that persecuted him and even for the ones who crucified him. We are called to that same radical love, through which God transforms us and those around us.
